So be a little more liberal, a little more concrete with the sound.

As the bow slows, everything points down — the arrow is completely vertical.
That’s where the articulation lives.
Adding articulation to a fast bow is two opposing ideas at once.
So reduce the bow, and it will grab the string easier.
There is no real learning without feeling what it is like to do it right.
Once the body has absorbed the movement — the bounce, the feedback — now it is learning. The rest is practice.
Yes — always quality, right to the end of the note.
The size of the sound, the character: endless variety. The quality is not negotiable.
Especially at the very end, where we tend to forget to play.
